Our Family History

In 1969, Mr. Gerald “Jerry” T. Bright, founder of “Bright Pest Control”, formerly known as “Nationwide Exterminating Company”, started in the pest control industry, working from the back of his car. Working diligently and with the utmost integrity, Jerry was able to expand the business to a larger facility, integrating a larger staff and fleet of vehicles. Before long building a pest control business that is second-to-none.

He belonged to several organizations, including Kentucky Pest Management Association as a member of the board of directors, the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, the Building Industry Association of Greater Louisville, the Ostomy Association, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Jerry also served as a special deputy for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and was a US Air Force Veteran.

Mr. Bright has since passed away succumbing to the effects of cancer, however his legacy will forever be with us and all the customers he took pleasure in satisfying over the years. All of us at Bright Pest Control are committed to making sure our customers receive the same service Jerry would have given!

The company is currently being operated by his daughter, President, Tamra Bright-Wasylina, her husband, Vice-President, Robert Wasylina, and Secretary/Treasurer, Randall Bright Sr. The office is managed by Leah Bright with the help of a professional hard-working staff.
